Catherine Budd is a British jewellery designer who works from her studio in Dorset. Her philosophy is to capture the essence of traditional fine jewellery design whilst making it fashionable, fun and wearable.She is passionate about creating luxurious design led pieces that not only have a timeless quality but will be loved and enjoyed forever. All of Catherine's work is designed and made in Britain, and being committed to fine craftsmanship, attention to detail, and innovative design Catherine prides herself on producing jewellery of the highest standard.Catherine's jewellery reflects her own culture and personal experiences, often drawing inspiration from historical and cultural motifs, and the natural world. Her designs are created using 18ct gold, diamonds and coloured gemstones, as well as some pieces which are made using sterling silver and gold vermeil.Catherine was shortlisted for the 'Designer of Excellence' award at The Jewellery Show and one of the 7 designers selected to take part in the 'Designs of Excellence' touring collection. She has also been one of 10 jewellery designers selected for 'Kickstart' at IJL at Earls Court in September, which is specifically for designers who are viewed as 'talent of the future'.
