Soru; meaning sisters in Sicilian, launched in the UK in 2013 by British-Sicilian sisters Francesca and Marianna who were inspired by their summer holidays spent in Sicily and the way in which the Sicilian women adorned themselves with jewellery for every occasion. Francesca previously worked in the jewellery industry as a buyer for a worldwide retailer and both Marianna and Francesca had a mutual love for gemstones from a young age.
Natural semi-precious stones and crystals, such as agates, moonstones, opals and turquoise are carefully selected and set within solid silver. Each piece is handmade and has its own meaning and natural energy. This personal approach was an idea that the brand was founded on; inspiring the wearer with a personal connection to their unique jewel.
Stand-out chokers, bracelets, rings, earrings and necklaces make up the collection.
The brand has gained a cult celebrity following with high profile women such HRH the Duchess of Cambridge, Rita Ora, Georgia-May Jagger, Millie Mackintosh, Rosie Fortescue and Goldie Hawn wearing Soru Jewellery pieces.
